Our theme this month is Cozy Corners. December calls us inward. The world outside is colder, darker, and busier—but inside, we can create little sanctuaries of warmth and presence. Cozy Corners is about celebrating those personal spaces where you feel safe, grounded, and most like yourself.

Through journaling and painting, we’ll explore the question: What does comfort look like for me, and how can I create more of it in my everyday life? Your art will become both a reflection of your inner sanctuary and a reminder to pause, slow down, and tend to yourself as the year comes to a close.

Here at The Playful Space we are focused on process, not the “end product” when it comes to creating art and discovering ourselves. When you enjoy doing something, what does it matter whether you are good at it? Isn’t this how we had fun as children? The simple act of creating was the fun part and this is a huge part of our mission to provide women with a safe space to experiment with art and find joy in the process…

In this workshop, we are going to explore and experiment with watercolor painting. Leave behind any prior ideas or beliefs you have about “art” or watercolor and just come play and have fun! Emily will guide you through interesting painting prompts to excavate your playful, creative self. 

Zero experience is encouraged and celebrated!
