Art Camp for Tweens & Teens!
Meet Emily! You're fearless camp leader! As an artist/educator with over 15 years of teaching and hands-on play & creativity under her belt, Emily has set out to build an inspiring and inclusive summer camp…where art-making, creativity, and play in all forms is encouraged and celebrated!
This special creative Summer Camp series is curated for tweens/teens (ages 10-15) who want to walk away with a fun, playful art experience, new connections, and skill sets. Each camp features a different artist focus and medium!
Our camps are unique by intertwining social-emotional intelligence with art skills. Campers will engage in activities that encourage self-acceptance, confidence, and resiliency.
Week 1: June 4-6 Mixed Media Collage with artist focus Clare Youngs
Week 2: June 11-13 3D Art & Sculpture with artist focus Marta Minujin
Week 3: June 18-20 Doodling & Drawing with artist focus Shantell Martin
Week 4: July 9-11 Mixed Media Collage with artist focus Howardena Pindell
Week 5: July 23-25 Watercolor & Ink with artist focus Huguette Caland
Week 6: July 30-August 1 Painting with Texture with artist focus Frida Kahlo
*Need a full day camp? Our studio mate & textile artist Amanda Shay of The Studio Bakersfield will be hosting Sewing Camp 1pm-4pm these weeks & we will provide outdoor time/lunch break 12-1! Head over to www.thestudiobakersfield.com for more details.
