Sunshine, Rain, & Rainbows: Studio News

So many exciting updates, ideas, and adventures to look forward to here at the studio & beyond! We have returned from the joyful chaos of Disneyland! 🫠 The best part was reliving all the magic through my kiddos' eyes. I personally loved the creative genius behind the Princess and the Frog ride: Tiana's Bayou Adventure; Mama Odie is my favorite who encourages people to “dig deeper"---all her eccentric, colorful vignettes on the ride were epic!

FIELD TRIPS! Madison and I are heading to the Getty Museum on Wednesday for an artsy field trip! Tune into the Three Door Studios instagram to come “with us”! And…drum roll…your CelebrateYOUpalooza girlies, Cassandra and Emily are headed to Palm Springs for Alt Summit! Excited to bring back some amazing ideas to Bako!

My current instagram art crush is Carly of CandidlyCarly, her simple phrases made of resin and acrylic are keeping me smiling, inspired and motivated. I love all the bright, happy colors she uses and the pops of glitter and sprinkles!
This series speaks to the bridge between a mother & a daughter with very different experiences of opportunity, empowerment, & vulnerability. Layered  book pages with ink, pigment, and mark making hints at voices from the past, silenced yet still present. This series is on exhibit for a special Kern Creatives event hosted at Top Hat Art Collective featuring local artists.

“Through Orange Eyes” Art Show

Sending you positivity and big hugs!
With gratitude,
Emily
Why Sunshine, Rain, & Rainbows? The Playful Space logo references one of nature's wonders and how both rays of sunshine and droplets of rain are necessary to create a rainbow. A nod to the human condition of honoring our darkness and our light. We need both experiences to help us grow, learn, and evolve.
